Description

Join us in celebrating Asian Heritage Month for a special pairing event as we play “flavour detectives,” uncovering the unique tastes and interactions of Asian specialty teas and artisanal craft chocolate. A shared love for delicious discoveries brought to you by Jan from Teakan and Olivia from YI SHI Cacao Collective to create a one-of-a-kind tasting experience. This blind tasting adventure blends the elegance of tea with the playful complexity of craft chocolate, inviting you to explore their harmony in surprising ways.

A portion of the proceeds from this tasting will be donated to the Kapwa Strong Fund (United Way) in support of those impacted by the tragic events at the Lapu Lapu Festival in Vancouver.

What to Look Forward To:

• Explore how to use a chocolate and cacao flavour profile map, from simple flavours to complex nuances
• Learn the art of tasting tea
• Develop your palate for craft chocolate and its many expressions
• Savor four tea and five craft chocolates
• Experience flavour interactions through engaging blind tasting exercises
